Description of Services:
Provides homemaking and nursing services to financially eligible community members who are temporarily ill or who have a permanent illness or disability * this program covers the cost of an in-home homemaker, helping clients continue living independently in the community * homemakers may help with laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping tasks
York Region purchases homemakers and nurses services from various community agencies, and offers a subsidy to cover costs for income-tested clients
