Eligibility / Target Population
Children and youth living in Halton and Mississauga who are diagnosed with a mild to moderate eating disorders * as eating disorders are associated with serious medical complications, patients must be medically stable and monitored by their family physician

Description of Services:
This program provides multidisciplinary short-term treatment to children and adolescents under the age of 18 with moderate to severe symptoms * this includes individuals who have recently been discharged from hospital for medical stabilization, or who may experience acute medical crisis if appropriate intervention is not offered * individuals with milder symptoms may benefit from community based supports * team includes social workers, dieticians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrist and a pediatrician * this is not a weight-loss clinic

- mandatory educational groups for parents/caregivers
- adapted Family-Based Treatment model for eating disorders that primarily involves consultation with parents to re-establish consistent eating patterns aligned with recovery
- medical monitoring in collaboration with the referring primary care provider
- nutritional assessment and counselling
