Provides a range of community support services
Youth and adult programs:
Youth and adult programs:
- women's empowerment
- services for newcomers through our youth wellness settlement and community outreach
- counselling and anger management intervention and support services through our Black Offenders
- re-integration programs for both youth and adult offenders
- community support for individuals and families affected by homelessness through our housing advocacy and navigation initiative, mental health, and substance use in Mississauga
- family programs (parenting, family connections, individual and family counselling, after school programs, etc.)
- Gathering Place: drop-in centre that offers safety and security and where people meet, socialize, and get help * for people who are homeless or marginally housed
- after-school programs
- parent with children's workshops
- summer day camp
- adult day program for older adults on Tue and Thu at 2500 Mimosa Row, Mississauga, L5B 1P7 (inside the Cooksville United Church main auditorium, 10am-1pm) * $10/day program for seniors 55+
- meals on wheels (home delivered meals and case management to homebound seniors 55+, up to 5 days per week or up to 30 days to a senior facing a crisis situation)
- community neighbourhood lunch program with transportation (adults 55+, and up to 5 days per week)
- Christmas meals for seniors
- mental health support
- housing advocacy for seniors
- community food bank (2nd Monday of each month)
- free tablet lending library
- weekly exercise classes
- transportation services (medical appointments, rehabilitation programs, grocery shopping, social activities, etc.)
