Description of Services:
Supports for adults with all types of diabetes and pre-diabetes, gestational diabetes * one-on-one or
group consultation on monitoring blood sugar levels, medication,
healthy eating, exercise, and other lifestyle choices * nurses, dietitians, endocrinologists, a social worker, and an exercise specialist on staff
- classes for people with type 2, gestational and pre-diabetes
- individual counselling
- transitional group for young adults moving from a pediatric program
- exercise workshops
- Healthy Feet Clinic
- comprehensive education for starting insulin
- insulin pump training
- ongoing workshops and speaker nights
