Description of Services:
Volunteer Visiting: Trained volunteers are available to provide companionship and support via phone, video calls and in-home, to clients in the community
Volunteer support services are provided to clients and their families in their home, hospital, long-term care facility, retirement home, hospice, shelter etc.
Visit provided once a week, for one to three hours, on any given day of the week, as requested
The duration of a visiting volunteer match depends on the needs of the client but will be reassessed every 3-4 months by the coordinator
- visiting volunteers provide a reassuring presence, companionship and comfort, for individuals living with life limiting illness, their caregivers and the bereaved
Volunteer support services are provided to clients and their families in their home, hospital, long-term care facility, retirement home, hospice, shelter etc.
