Description of Services:
247-bed long-term care home * residential care for 21 basic rooms and 229 semi-private rooms * 24-hour nursing and personal care * access to a doctor and other health professionals * Alzheimer's or dementia skilled nursing care available
Unfunded services (fees apply):
Specialized services include:
Short-Stay Care (Public) - 2 short-stay beds (respite care for people who have caregivers in need of temporary relief) * publicly funded * offered up to 90 days per year, as available * residents have access to the same services as long-stay residents
- bedding and furniture
- laundry and housekeeping
- meals
- personal hygiene supplies
- medical supplies and equipment
- assistance with medication and activities of daily living
- recreation and social programs
- physiotherapy and rehabilitation services * alternative therapies and restorative care programs also available
- multi-faith spiritual services
Unfunded services (fees apply):
- hairdressing services
- glasses/hearing aids
- dentistry services
- foot care services
- medication dispensing fee
- private companion service
- dry cleaning
- personal wheelchair maintenance/purchase
- programs that help residents with dementia to rediscover old skills
- telephone/cable television/internet connections and monthly fees
- transportation costs to appointments and clinics
- newspapers delivery

- skin care and wound management programs
- falls prevention program
- responsive behaviour program
- continence management program
- palliative/end-of-life care program
